College Readiness Pathway – DASM Educational Consulting

Start Early. Stay Ready.

Most families wait until senior year to think about college. At DASM Educational Consulting, we know the journey to college success begins long before that — it starts the second semester of 8th grade.

That’s when habits are formed, executive functioning skills take root, and students begin shaping the academic story that will define their future. We partner with parents to build a four-year plan that develops self-advocacy, accountability, and readiness — step by step.

Guided support from 8th grade through the first year of college

At DASM Educational Consulting, we help families plan purposeful next steps from high school to college. This plan begins the spring semester of 8th grade, when key academic habits and executive functioning skills take shape. Each year builds intentionally, aligning IEP/504 goals, course choices, and college milestones — while supporting parents through a gentle, structured transition as their student becomes more independent.

Early planning helps students build confidence and accountability before graduation pressures set in. By starting in 8th grade, families can avoid rushed decisions, strengthen executive functioning skills, and ensure every step—from course selection to college readiness—is intentional and achievable.

Families who follow the DASM College Readiness & Transition Plan report stronger IEP/504 documentation, improved academic habits, and reduced stress during the college application process. Students gain confidence, independence, and clarity in their postsecondary goals — whether pursuing college, career, or vocational pathways.

Students and families seeking steady, compassionate guidance through the high-school-to-college transition — whether supported by an IEP/504 or exploring accommodations for the first time.
